What you fear most; you attract...it is a self-fulfilling prophecy to ensure you overcome fears and expand your consciousness.
Fear is the crudest of basic emotions that can either immobilizes or motivate action. Take the fear of horses. Some may have a basic fear of horses from an early childhood experience and others fear what a horse represents. As most of people have very little contact with horses the need to overcome such a fear is minimal and seems quite natural to have, but ask yourself this, how does this fear manifests in other areas of your life?
- Fear of trust, of being let down and hurt
- Fear of self, not being enough
- Overwhelming fear of the unknown
- Fear of not being in control
- Fear of being exposed as the horse can see right through you
- Fear of vulnerability and surrendering to your own ego
What fears from the above list manifests in your life? Do you play things too safe? Do not fear being hurt? Do you relinquishing control of intimacy? Do you fear being exposed? Do you fear vulnerability? Riding horses is a head-fake, it is not about actually riding a horse its about your connection with the horse through instinct and intuitiveness. How do you choose to communicate and listen to your horse as it gives constant feedback? How you respect the animal and how it respects you back to have an open dialogue of trust is basic horsemanship. How you work the reigns of a horse is pertinent to how you hold the reigns of your own life. Maneuvering through the experiences of this human existence and personal life choices are how you play your part in your very own drama. For example, a young woman telling me that all her horse wants to do is eat, when in fact horses are grazing animals. She has allowed the horse to eat all the way from the start of the trail and now wants to blame the horse. I think there is a correlation with her relationship with her boyfriend as she blames him for her coke problem and never really sees her part in her own demise.
